Hollow Ground III was composed in Austin, Texas (1998). Created for prerecorded sound, performances are brought to life with sound diffusion techniques and dance choreographed by Yacov Sharir. This was the final work in the “Hollow Ground” trilogy commissioned by the Sharir Dance Company. Many performances have also featured Yacov’s choreography titled, CommEnt. It contains sonic material from its predecessors and additional organic materials, primarily voice accompanied by an assortment of wooden and metallic household objects.
