Emergence was composed in Austin, Texas (1994). Created for prerecorded sound, performances are brought to life with sound diffusion techniques and dance by choreographer Bryan Green. The primary sound sources include the composer's voice, hammered dulcimer, and leather jacket. This is an extended work which culminates in a slowly blossoming aural flower.
